A gallon of stain can cover a square deck with an area of 300 square feet. About how long is each side of the deck? Round your answer to the nearest foot.

    The area of a square = length of a side^2

    A=s²

    300=s²

    √300 = s

    s is about 17.3

    Round to 17 feet
