How do you factor out 2x^2+13x+15 using the box method

First create a 2x2 box

then in left corner put 2x², in bottom right corner put - 15

multiply these two terms togther to get 30x². then find the two factor of 30x². that when added produce middle term, these factor are 15,-2. then put these into open boxes.

factor the terms in each row, in each column

then sum of the factors for the columns and the sum of the factors for the rows are the polynomial factor : (x-1) (2x+15)
