    1. 2.27 x 10^-3 ... when u have a negative exponent, u move the decimal to the left ... and since the exponent is - 3, u move the decimal 3 spaces to the left.

    answer would be : 0.00227. Or the longer way would be : 2.27 * 1/10^3 ... because if u have a negative exponent, change it to positive and stick it under 1 ... so 2.27 * 1/10^3 = 2.27/10^3 = 2.27/1000 = 0.00227.

    2. 3.772 x 10^5 ... if the exponent is positive, u move the decimal to the right ... and since the exponent is 5 ... move the decimal 5 spaces to the right ... answer would be : 377200 ... or u could just do 3.772 * 100,000 = 377,200.

    3. 9.7 x 10^1 = move decimal to right 1 space = 97

    4. 1.33586 x 10^6 = move decimal to right 6 spaces = 1,335,860

    5. 1.33586 x 10^-5 = move decimal to left 5 spaces = 0.0000133586

    6. 4.22 x 10^-1 = move decimal to the left 1 space = 0.422
