Adam buys a bigger turkey than he needs the turkey he buys weighs 7kg the cooking instructions are:

less than 4kg-allow 20 minutes per kg, plus 70 minutes

over 4kg allow 20 minutes per kg, plus 90 minutes

always leave the turkey to rest for 30 minutes before carving to retain moisture.

he plans to carve the turkey at 17:15.

what time should he start cooking the turkey?

    7 kg turkey

    cooking instructions:

    over 4kg allow 20 minutes per kg, plus 90 minutes

    always leave the turkey to rest for 30 minutes before carving.

    7kg * 20 minutes/kg = 140 minutes

    140 minutes + 90 minutes = 230 minutes

    230 minutes + 30 minutes rest = 260 minutes

    260 minutes * 1hr/60 minutes = 4 hours 20 minutes

    17:15 is 5:15 pm

    17:15 - 4:20 = 12:55 pm

    Adam should start cooking at 12:55 pm
