    Est Answer: say the numbers are x and y ... and y being the bigger number ... If the ratio is 5:3, then difference between ratio = 5-3 = 2 ... Substituting this x = 5y/3 in equation x-y = 18 we get ... therefore x = 5 * 27 / 3 = 5 * 9 = 45 ... One number is 5 more than another. their sum is 53 what are the two numbers?
