    Take the regular price, multiply it by. 2, subtract that off of the regular price. What it means is 20% of the regular price is taken away from the regular price.

    20% off the regular price means that 20% is being multiplied from the original price and then subtracted from. For example, if you were to be buying a new fur coat for $50 and the store is having 20% off on it, you would multiply 20% or 0.2 to 50 (the original price of the coat) which would be 10. Then, you would subtract 10 from 50 making your new price $40. This would be an example of 20% off of a regular price.
