How do I solve this equation? I get confused because there is a variable on the right side of the equation and I dont know what to do. 5.5-3b=2b-6.25

    First get everything that has like terms on one side.

    2b+3b=5.5+6.25

    Then add things together to simplify.

    5b=11.75

    Finally, divide to find your answer.

    b=11.75/5

    b=2.35
