The wheel of a bicycle has a diameter of 27in. How many revolutions of the wheel would it take to bike 3 miles?

    Circumference = pi * diameter = 3.14 * 27 = 84.8 inches per revolution

    5280 feet in a mile, 12 inches in a foot

    3 miles = 3 * 5280 * 12 = 190080 inches

    190080 / 84.8 = 2241.5 revolutions
