Okay so to convert a number to scientific notation, we need to convert into a number between 1-10. We count the jumps it took to get a number between 1 and 10. Therefore, 1.0 (between 1 and 10 now) x 10 ^ 6 (10 to the power of how many jumps it took)

The scientific notation used to write 1,000,000 would be 1 X 10^6.
1 X 10^6.
