What is the maximum or minimum of the quadratic function y = 16x^2 + 40x + 25

    Y = 16x^2 + 40x + 25

    The sign before the 16 is positive, so it's a parabola with a minimum. The x coordinate of the minimum is:

    x=-b/2a=-40/32=5/4=-1.25

    If you fill that in, you get y=0

    so the coordinates are (1.25, 0)
