A 16 foot tall ladder is leaning against a vertical brick wall. The base of the ladder is 6 feet from the wall. To the nearest degree, at what angle does the ladder meet the wall?

    The angle in question is the angle at the top of the right triangle. The length of the hypotenuse is 16 and the base leg is 6. Use the sin ratio here: sin A = 6 / 16 and the sin A =.375 Use the inverse sin function on your calculator to find that the angle measure is 22 degrees.
