    Y=mx+b

    m=slope

    b=y intercept

    just solve for y

    5x+4y=16

    minus 5x both sides

    4y=-5x+16

    divide both sides by 5

    y = (-5/4) x+4

    slope=-5/4

    y intercept is y=4
