A spinner is divided into three equal sections labeled a B and C. Erik spins the spinner and rolls a fair number cube. The tree diagram shows the sample space for the possible outcomes. Which of the following statements is correct?

The probability of the spinner landing on B or rolling a 4 is 1/8

The probability of the spinner not landing on C and rolling a 3 is 13/18

The probability of the spinner landing on an A or rolling a number greater than two is 2/9

The probability of the spinner not landing on A and rolling a prime number is 1/3

The probability of landing on any of A, B or C is 1/3.

The probability of landing on any particular number on the number cube is 1/6.

For the combination of conditions, use the multiplication rule when the condition is "and"; use the addition rule when the condition is or.

    Exanples:

    P (B or 4) = P (B) + P (4) - P (B and 4) = 1/3+1/6 - (1/3) (1/6) = 1/2-1/18=7/18

    P (~B and 3) = P (~B) * P (3) = (1-P (B)) * P (3) = (2/3) * (1/6) = 2/18

    P (A or >2) = P (A) + P (>2) - P (A and >2) = 1/3+2/3 - (1/3) * (2/3) = 7/9

    P (~A and prime) = P (~A) * P (prime) = (2/3) * (1/2)

Note: primes are 2,3,5. 1 is neither prime nor composite.
