A baseball player reaches base 35% of the time. How many times can he reach base in 850 at bats?

    850x. 35=297.5

    The question asks how many times he actually makes it so you will have to round down even though it is a 5 and you would usually round up. So he makes it 297 times out of 850.

    Lookig at the percentage 35% of the time is 35/100

    so the way i would do this is subtract 850-100 and whatever answer you get you add it to 35

    (P. S. this might not give you the right answer but i never hurts to try)
