It took Marty 10 seconds to walk 15 feet. How fast was he walking in feet per second. Answer with supporting work

    10 seconds = 15 feet

    We want a measure of feet per second. (If seconds = 1, feet = ?)

    Let's divide both sides by 10. (division prop. of equality)

    1 second = 1.5 feet

    1.5 ft/s
