What is the simplified form of the square root of 24 multiplied by the square root of 12?

    Well the square root of 24 is basically (all the factors) 2x2x3x2 Right? So when we do the square root you would need two of the same number to be a literal "whole number".

    So what you get is 2 that is repeated and 3x2 left. Now all you have to do is the same thing with the square root of 12, getting 2x2x3, or 2 times the square root of three.

    So all you do is multiply 2 square root of 6 and 2 square root of three, and from there if you can simplify further with the method I used, then that is the final answer

    Square root of 24 can be written as 2 (square root of 6)

    square root of 12 can be written as 2 (square root of 3)

    2 (square root of 6) 2 (square root of 3)

    4 (square root of 18)

    square root of 18 can be written as 2 (square root of 2)

    =8 (square root of 2)
