Okay so if the markdown is 22% then the retail price is 78% so to find the retail price you take the original price $50 and divide it by 100 to find 1% of the cost you can then multiply it by 78 to find the retail price, so 50/100=.5 78 (.5) = 39 so the retail price is $39
