An item is regularly priced at $60. It is now priced at a 30% discount. What is the price now?

    60x0.7=$42 I used 0.7 because that is the same as 70% and the reason I used 70% is because it's a discount of 30 and a discount means to take away. So when you use 70% it means you pay 70% OF that sixty dollars. Notice how I used the word "of". The word "of" means to multiply in Math
