    Using the pythagorean theorem, a^2+b^2=c^2

    a=35

    b=12

    c=?

    1225+144=1369

    square root of 1369 is 37

    Therefore his golf club will fit because it is 35 inches long and the box is 37 inches long at an angle.

    3,780 because 35 x 12 = 420 and 420 x 9 = 3,780
