    Alright, so $20 is accounted for, and is half of $40. With only another $20 remaining, you can simply divide it by $2.50.

    20 : 2.50 = 8

    20 + 2.50h = 40

    h = 8

    Amelia will have to work 8 hours to earn enough money to buy a new sweater.
