4.50 * 30
What I do is ignore the decimal until the very end of the problem.
450 * 30 = 13500
Since the decimal has two numbers behind it, you start from 13500 to 135.00
Which obviously can be written as 135.

Simple example of multiplying decimals
1.1 * 2.5 = 2.75
or
2.3 * 3.2 = 7.36
