The mean number of times a 5th grader goes to a restaurant is 4. To get the mean number you must add all of the numbers up and divided them by how many numbers are given. It would look like this: 3+4+6+3+4 = 20 - - > 20 / 5 = 4. Mean is the average number of a data set so for this question I would say "The fifth grader goes to a restaurant on average 4 times (I am assuming per month)."
