In an experiment, a student randomly chooses an answer to two multiple-choice questions. The first question has 4 answers to choose from, and the second question has 5 answers to choose from. How many outcomes are in the sample space?

    I am not completely sure so don't 100% trust me but I think you're supposed to add the 4 and five together of both sample questions leaving you with an answer of 9
