Tom bought 2 5/16 pounds of peanuts and 2.45 pounds of cashews. Which did he buy more of explain?

    Cashews. He bought 2 5/16 peanuts which if you divide 5 by 16 it will give you. 31 rounded and the two whole pounds which will give you 2.31 pounds of peanuts which is less than 2.45 pounds of cashews. so he bought more pounds of cashews than peanuts.
