    F (x) = g (x)

    f (x) = 3x + 12

    g (x) = - 9.5x - 13

    Since both are equal. then

    3x + 12 = - 9.5x - 13

    3x + 9.5x = - 13 - 12

    12.5x = - 25

    12.5x/12.5 = - 25/12.5

    x = - 2

    to check:

    f (-2) = 3 (-2) + 12 = - 6 + 12 = 6

    g (-2) = - 9.5x - 13 = - 9.5 (-2) - 13 = 19 - 13 = 6

    f (x) = g (x)

    f (-2) = g (-2)

    6 = 6
