First, order them in the order of smallest to largest, which is 40, 60, 70, 80, 80. Then, since there are 5 numbers, the 3rd number, which is 70, would be the median.

Then, add all numbers:

40+60+70+80+80=330

and divide that by 5:

330/5=66

So, the median is 70 and the mean is 66.
