Distance for which Kevin can carry the basket = 5 feet

Distance for which Rachel can carry the basket = (5 + 3) feet

    = 8 feet

Distance for which Daniel can carry the basket = (8/2) feet

    = 4 feet

The total distance for which the basket

    can be carried by all three taking only 1 turn = (5 + 8 + 4) feet

    = 17 feet.

So it would be wrong to say that the three of them can carry it up to a distance of 15 feet with each person taking only one turn.
