In the equation x^2+10x+24 = (x+a) (x+b), b is an integer. find algebaically all possible values of b

    X^2+10x+24 can be factored in the integers only as (x+6) (x+4). Clearly, we can have either of x+6 and x+4 be the expression containing b, so b=6 or 4.
