A company has 200 machines. Each machine has 12% probability of not working. If you were to pick 40 machines randomly, the probability that 5 would not be working is 5/40, the probability that all would be working is 87.5%, and the probability that at least one machine would be working is.

    If the situation asks the probability that at least one machine would be working out from 40 can be solved as: 1 divided by 40 then multiplied to 100. From this, we get these values.

    1 / 40 = 0.025; then multiplied to 100 will result to 2.5%

    So, there's a 1/40 or 2.5% probability that at least 1 machine will work out from 40 machines.
