The formula for final velocity of an object starting from zero and undergoing constant acceleration is v=1/2 at^2. What is the rate of an acceleration if the car has a final velocity of 50 m/s after 5 seconds?

    V = (1/2) at²

    50 = (1/2) a*5²

    50 * 2 = a * 5*5

    a = 50*2 / (5*5)

    a = 100/25

    a = 4

    Rate of acceleration, a = 4 m/s ²
