Transform the equation to the form y = mx + b.

3 (4x - 6) = 2y

    First multiply 3 (4x-6)

    you get 12x-18=2y

    then divide everything by 2 so you isolate the y on one side

    you then get

    6x-9=y

    which you can rewrite as y=6x-9
