distribute:
=5x + (2) (x) + (2) (1)
=5x+2x+2
combine like terms:
= (5x+2x) + (2)
=7x+2
answer:
7x+2
5x-8 (x+11)
distribute:
=5x + (-8) (x) + (-8) (11)
=5x + - 8x + - 88
combine like terms:
= (5x + - 8x) + (-88)
= - 3x + - 88
Answer:
-3x + - 88
