What is the end behavior of the graph of f (x) = x5 - 8x4 + 16x3?

    To solve such a problem, we need to i dentify the degree of the function, and whether the coefficient of of the highest degree is positive or negative.

    In our example here the degree of the function is 5 and its coefficient is positive so

    as X approaches positive infinity: X5 will go to positive infinity; therefor the curve goes up to positive infinity as X approaches negative infinity: X5 will go to negative infinity; therefor the curve goes down to negative infinity
