    Area of the arrangement would be denoted by A and it is equal to 1440 ft^2;

    Number of stepping stones would be denoted by N and it is equal to 10;

    Cost of the fence would be denoted by p and it is equal to 2.25 $/feet;

    formula for the final cost:

    C = area / number of stones x price = A / N * p

    = 1440 ft ^ 2/10 x 2.25 $/ft

    = 144 x 2.25

    = $324 is the final cost
