Dewayne wants to know how many feet an object can travel in an hour.

Let's use an example. If we want to measure the speed in steps per minute,

We would need to collect the number of steps we travel (which is essentially the distance or length) in one minute (which is an unit of time).

Say that we make 25 steps in a minute, we divide those quantities and get that our speed was 25 steps/1minute = 25 steps/min

So, Dewayne needs to collect the distance (in feet) the object traversed in the period of an hour.
