Suppose a and b are independent events if P (A) = 0.4 and P (B) = 0.45 what is P (A*B) ?

    For independent events,

    P (A ∩ B) = P (A) * P (B)

    =>

    P (A ∩ B) = 0.4*0.45

    =0.18
