How do you solve for the standard form of y=2/3x-5?

    Multiply by 3 to get rid of the fraction:

    3y=2x+15

    Move the x's to the left. Don't forget the sign change:

    -2x+3y=15

    Now reverse all signs to make the x part positive:

    2x-3y=-15
