    1x² + 1y² = 9

    2x² - 1y² = 6

    3x² = 15

    3 3

    x² = 5

    x ≈ 2.236

    2 (2.236) ² - 1y² = 6

    2 (5) - 1y² = 6

    10 - 1y² = 6

    -10 - 10

    -1y² = - 4

    -1 - 1

    y² = 4

    y = 2

    (x, y) = (2.236,2)

    (x², y²) = (5, 4)

    x² + y² = 9
