The average of 21 numbers is 30. the largest number is 50. if we remove the larger number then what will be the average of remaining numbers.

    The sum of the 21 numbers is 21*30 = 630

    then you subtract the largest number, 630-50 = 580

    your new average: 580/20 = 29, you divide by 20 because that's how many remaining numbers your have.
