How many pies does Mike have if he gave two away and sell three when he had $30 and each pie cost $3

    Hi there!

    If each pie costs $3 and Mike had $30 we can determine how many pies Mike originally had.

    $30/$3 = 10 pies.

    If he gave 2 away and sold 3 we know that he has 5 pies left.

    Therefore Mike has 5 pies.
