    Y = (-3/4) x + 3

    4y = 4 * [ (-3/4) x + 3 ] ... multiply both sides by 4

    4y = 4 * (-3/4) x + 4*3 ... distribute

    4y = - 3x + 12

    4y + 3x = - 3x + 12 + 3x ... add 3x to both sides

    3x + 4y = 12

    Answer: 3x + 4y = 12
