What is the Area of a right triangle as a function of the base b if the base of the triangle is twice its height?

    The base is twice the height, or b = 2h. So, h = b/2. The area of a right triangle is (1/2) * b*h, and replacing h with b/2 you have (1/2) * b * (b/2), or (1/4) * b^2. So to write this it is A (b) = (1/4) * b^2 for b > = 0
