30% of the cars in a particular parking lot are red. if there are 12 red cars, how many cars are parked in the parking lot?

    Let, the number of cars = x

    Then, x*30/100 = 12

    x*30 = 1200

    x = 1200/30 = 40

    so, your answer would be 40
