A ball is thrown from an initial height of 2 feet with an initial upward velocity of 29 ft/s. The ball's height h (in feet) after t seconds is given by the following.

h=2+29t-16t^2

Find all values of for which the ball's height is 14 feet.

    H=14 for this particular instance so:

    14=2+29t-16t²

    14-2=2-2+29t-16t²

    12=29t-16t²

    0=-16t²+29t-12

    that's as factored as possible so you should use the quadratic formula for the rest and check for extraneous answers
