What is 7/8-3/5 in simplist form

    Multiply each of the two fractions for the numerator & denominator by a certain number to make the bases the same number.

    7/8 (multiply by 5) = 35/40

    3/5 (multiply by 8) = 24/40

    35/40 - 24/40 = 11/40
