Two functions, A and B, are described as follows: Function A y = 8x + 3 Function B The slope is 1 and the y-intercept is 4. How much more is the slope of function A than the slope of function B?

    1. Subtract 3 from both sides:

    y - 3 = 8x

    2. Divide both sides by 8:

    y - 3/8 = x

    3. Switch sides:

    x = y - 3/8
