    The S. A. of the tank is:

    12*6 = 72*2 (since there are 2 of the same sides) = 144.

    12*10 = 120*2 = 240

    6*10 = 60*2 = 120

    Then, you add all of the numbers up.

    144 + 240 + 120 = 504

    So, your surface area of the tank is 504 square meters.

    Surface area of rectangular prism = 2lw+2lh+2wh

    SA=2 (12*6) + 2 (12*10) + 2 (10*6)

    SA=2 (72) + 2 (120) + 2 (60)

    SA=504

    the surface area of the tank is 504m²
