    For Urn 1,

total number of balls = 8 (green balls) + 12 (red balls) = 20 balls

The probability of picking a red ball from Urn 1 is equal to 12/20 or 6/10 or 3/5.

    For Urn 2,

total number of balls = 5 (green balls) + 8 (red balls) = 13 balls

The probability of picking a red ball is 8/13.

The probability of picking both red balls from the two urns is the product of the two probabilities which gives us the answer which is equal to 24/65. The answer is letter B.
