What would happen if two quantities in a ratio had different units? How would you simplify it?

    In this case, the two numbers could be divided just as a regular fraction. The units would become the unit on top divided by the unit on bottom. This is the case when dicussing measurements of speed. Because speed is calculated as displacement (distance) / time it is often expressed as meters per second or miles per hour or any other distance unit divided by a time unit
