If a powerlifter raises a 1000 N weight a distance of 2.0 meters in 0.5 seconds, what is his power output?

    Power = Force * Velocity

    Velocity = Distance/Time = 2/0.5 = 4 m/s

    Therefore,

    P = 1000*4 = 4000 W = 4 kW
